Dr. R. James Warren is a double board-certified pain medicine and anesthesiology physician and the founder of Apollo Pain Management (2019). Raised in Columbus, Ohio, he earned a BS in Physics from The Ohio State University, an MS in Neuroscience from Case Western Reserve University, and an MD from the University of Cincinnati. He completed his Anesthesiology residency at SUNY Buffalo (2008), practiced anesthesia in South Florida, and later completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at the University of South Florida. Dr. Warren treats neck and back pain, neuropathic and cancer pain, and other complex pain conditions with personalized care plans.

Dedicated to advancing the field, Dr. Warren serves as an Assistant Professor with the ACGME-accredited USF Pain Fellowship and participates in the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Hillsborough County Medical Association. A veteran of more than 15 years in the U.S. Army Reserve, he served two tours in Iraq. He lives in Apollo Beach with his wife, daughters, and their dog, Shadow, and enjoys family time, exercise, and fishing.
