Dr. Deborah Westergaard is fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management and double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. For nearly three decades, she has dedicated her career to helping patients with complex spine, joint, and musculoskeletal conditions improve function and their quality of life. After earning her medical degree from LSU School of Medicine, she completed her anesthesiology residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and her fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Texas Tech University, where she trained under Drs. Gabor Racz, Prithvi Raj, and Miles Day. Today, as a physician in the licensed Regenexx network, her practice focuses on advanced image-guided orthobiologic procedures, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow concentrate. Her approach begins with identifying the specific structures contributing to a patient’s pain and loss of function, followed by developing individualized, minimally invasive treatment plans designed to support joint preservation and, when clinically appropriate, help patients avoid or delay joint or spine surgery.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Westergaard enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her colorful collection of designer chickens and her koi pond—interests that reflect the same patience, attention to detail, and appreciation for living systems that she brings to patient care. She is passionate about lifelong learning and continually seeks to refine her techniques while staying current with advances in image-guided orthobiologic medicine. Patients appreciate not only her technical expertise but also her thoughtful, compassionate approach and her commitment to helping them remain active and continue doing the things they love.
